The vanilla and light grey colourscape is warmed by the rich colour from the Malabar Kuta fabric in the curtains which costs €45.50 a metre and the cushions which are made in Malabar Kamla and Kuta fabrics from €39.80 a metre. Both came from The Natural Interior (01 4737444).

The kitchen is a high gloss vanilla model from McNally Contract Kitchens and has a dark emperador granite worktop. L-shaped with an island section, it has been designed for ease of use with cooking appliances at one end of the kitchen while the dishwashing facilities are at the other end. Different heights of wall units have been used to break the monotony. The taller units also provide extra storage.

Expect to pay about €11,000 for a kitchen of similar size and quality. The granite worktop costs around €5,000.
