Planning permission is being sought for additional shopping facilities in Ashbourne, Meath's second largest town

Planning permission is being sought for additional shopping facilities in Ashbourne, Meath's second largest town. There is already a shopping centre in the town. Nuas Investments proposes to develop a mixture of commercial buildings including large and small retail units and office accommodation on a site in the village which runs down to the Broadmeadow River. The developers are also proposing to build a 22-bedroom guesthouse, multi-screen cinema, bowling alley and multi-storey car-park. They are also seeking permission for 204 townhouses and apartments.
