Remember when the property boom was out of control in London in the 1980s, and every second week there seemed to be yet another story of how a broom cupboard fetched half a million quid or a garage was sold for the price of a Formula One car? While it's not quite in the same league, there is something quaintly boomish about a shed on the Schull pier being on the market for £25,000 (€31,740). By Schull standards, Jimmy Reilly's shed, as it is called, is a snip - but agent James Lyons O'Keefe scuppers any plans anyone might have of actually living there by saying it's suitable only for storing boat paraphernalia.
