Successful Irish jockey Nina Carberry took on a new role last week when she launched a Dublin residential sales agency for her friend and namesake Karen Carberry.

The Satis agency has been operating a busy management and letting service for over a decade from its office in the former Phoenix Park Racecourse and with several hundred clients on its books it is now expanding into residential sales.

Karen set up the letting service at the age of 21 and has watched many of the original renters on the old racecourse buying up permanent apartment homes there because of its close proximity to the city, schools, Blanchardstown town centre and of course the lovely walks in the Phoenix Park.

Satis has recruited Jarlath Moran who with eight years experience of the Dublin housing market is to head up the new sales division. To help launch the new business, Satis is to treat owners of properties sold to a tasting menu at Sabor Brazil restaurant in the city centre. Could this trigger a new phase of entertainment by other agencies? Now who’s for Patrick Guilbaud or Shanahan’s on the Green?
