Savills gets local project on the road

Estate agents Savills have delivered a coach to a local community group in Dublin 8, following a two-year fund-raising initiative.

The beneficiary is the Solas Project which was set up in the Basin Lane area in 2007 to help children at risk after dropping out of school because of social and educational disadvantage.

Savills staff have an ongoing relationship with Solas, assisting children in various activities including reading, after-school mentoring, rugby and university access programmes.

The €20,000 mini-coach will be used to transport the children from local schools to the Solas Project centre as well as enabling them to go on a variety of day trips.
