The second phase of Section 50 apartments at the Dunaras development in Galway city is now on sale through Sherry FitzGerald/Ross McParland. Located on Bishop O'Donnell Road, close to Salthill and University College Galway, phase two comprises 13 mixed-style apartments with prices averaging around £200 (€254) per sq ft.

Launched late last year, the Dunaras development will consist of 112 apartments on completion. Phase two includes a selection of two-bedroom ground and first floor apartments ranging in size from 670 to 688 sq ft with prices starting at £149,950 (€190,397) and three-bedroom duplex units ranging in size from 872 to 974 sq ft with prices starting at £177,950 (€225,949).

All prices include VAT and fit-out to Bord Failte three-star standard for self-catering accommodation - everything from beds to bedding, kitchen appliances and cutlery is included. Section 50 developments carry tax incentives to encourage rented self-catering accommodation for students. Tax relief of approximately 84 per cent is applicable on rental income. Certified for the use of students of the National University of Ireland, Galway, there is a letting agent to oversee the maintenance and running of accommodation at Dun aras.
