Cabinet (H243cm x W137cm) €4,500 at Fassbinder & English: display cabinet or linen press with glass panelled doors and drawer, with an antique ivory finish and aged gilding.

It is custom-designed and made by Peter Carroll and Richard O'Toole.

The pair began working together in the US in 1999 where their clients included Paul Simon.

They now operate from a showroom and studio in Dún Laoghaire.

The style of this piece is French but they have a wide repertoire and specialise in unusual surface finishes.

This is an expensive cabinet but within reason, they can work to a budget for a particular piece.
