With developers again looking for building opportunities close to Dublin city centre, sites in North King Street and Old Kilmainham are expected to sell when they go on the market shortly.

Ganly Walters is quoting a guide price of £5.5 million (€6.98m) for a site of 0.7 acres close to the junction of Church Street and North King Street, which is to be sold by private treaty. There is full planning permission for 78 apartments and six retail units with basement car-parking.

At Old Kilmainham, Douglas Newman Good expects to secure around £3 million (€3.81m) for a site of almost one acre which backs on to the Camac river. It has frontage on to both Old Kilmainham Road and Old Kilmainham Lane. The zoning suggests that it will be used for a development of over 50 apartments.
