Joe Layden's Don-Lay Group looks like scoring a considerable success with his Epicurean Food Hall, which is to open in April at Lower Liffey Street, Dublin 2. The company has pre-let half of the 20 shops and 12 kiosks in what will be Ireland's first retail complex dedicated entirely to food. The various units will sell a whole range of foodstuffs, including speciality, exotic, ethnic and general foodstuffs. The remaining kiosks will be available at rents of £8,000 to £10,000 per annum while shops with between 150 sq ft and 1,200 sq ft will range from £9,000 to £50,000. Tenants will be able to claim double rent allowances and rates on a sliding scale. Don-Lay is currently putting the finishing touches to the new centre.
