A WEEK after being refused planning permission for a fast food outlet in the centre of Dublin, Supermac's has also run into planning problems in Galway city. An Bord Pleanala has blocked a proposed drive-through restaurant at Ballybrit Business Park in Galway.

In Dublin, the board has rejected an application by Systems Printing Ltd for permission to demolish a printworks and its replacement with 15 apartments and 16 car-parking spaces at 62 Castle Street, Dalkey, Co Dublin.

The board has refused permission for the demolition of the KCR at 2 Fortfield Road and 140 Terenure Road West, Dublin 6w, and its replacement with three news shops and 14 apartments.
