Dublin 8: Tax break apartments are going on sale from plans this week at a small infill development at Cork Street, Dublin 8, above.
Hooke & MacDonald is taking bookings at its Baggot Street offices for 18 one and two-bedroom apartments, which will be distributed amongst two buildings at 46 - 47 Cork Street.
This development by Danninger qualifies for Section 23 relief on all income over a 10-year period for owner occupiers and on Irish rental income only for investors. Building work is under way and the units should be ready for completion in the current financial year, according to the selling agent.
Prices start at €285,000 for 49 sq m (520 sq ft) one-bedroom apartments and €380,000 for two-bedroom apartments of 58-71 sq m (625 - 760 sq ft). Most units will have balconies.
The location, close to St James's Hospital, Heuston rail station and a Luas stop, is strategic. Most of the city's main business districts are within reach by car in minutes. The ground floor level is reserved for commercial use, with apartments taking up the four upper floors.
Each block will have a shared roof terrace and grounds will be professionally planted. A security intercom system will be installed.
There is limited underground parking at €25,000 per space, to be sold on a first-come basis.
