Tesco is to make another attempt to secure planning permission for a district shopping centre at Clare Hall on the Malahide Road in Dublin 13. Two months ago Dublin Corporation refused consent for a £20 million (€25.4m) centre to replace existing planning permission for a standalone store.

The new planning application provides for an anchor store with a gross area of 93,323 sq ft, including a food store of 37,673 sq ft and 19 individual units with a gross floor area of over 37,000 sq ft.

There will also be a restaurant and food court, 27,000 sq ft of offices and 879 car-parking spaces. Provision for a park-and-ride facility with 419 parking spaces and 150 new homes is also included.
