SALES RESULTS:SHERRY FITZGERALD failed to a sell an art deco style semi at 7 Vergemount Park, Clonskeagh, Dublin 6, at auction yesterday. It is now available at €899,000.
Meanwhile, a successful auction in Kilmore Quay, Wexford last week demonstrates that there is an appetite for well located holiday homes, so long as they arefairly keenly priced.
Sunnyside, near Kilmore Quay, is a large, many bedroomed holiday home standing on three acres of grounds running down to the sea.
It had been fully renovated by its owners who used it only occasionally. Guided at €450,000 prior to auction, the thatched house was sold by Kehoe Associates under the hammer for €455,000.
Meanwhile, in Co Wicklow, Quinn Property of Carnew sold a 53.5-acre residential holding with 21 acres of grazing rights at Askakeagh, Tinahely, Arklow, for €535,000 under the hammer. The AMV had been €450,000.
Quinn Property also offered another small farm, Farnese, Tinahely which was offered in two lots: the house on circa five acres was withdrawn at €170,000 and is under negotiation, while 23.82 acres of additional land was sold under the hammer for €100,000.
The same agent sold 58 acres of land at Brusselstown, Donard, Co Wicklow under the hammer for €160,000, €10,000 more than its AMV.
