A solid Tudor-style house with six bedrooms located opposite the British Embassy, at Merrion Road, is on the market again, for the third time in as many years. Number 90, an Edwardian semi-detached house, was rescued from near dereliction in the early 1990s and almost entirely rebuilt. It was then lavishly decorated and put on the market in late 1997 when it sold after auction for around £550,000. Last year, it came up for sale again, but failed to find a buyer at £750,000 through Laois agent Tadgh Campion.

This time around, the Gunne agency is hoping to achieve in excess of £800,000 for the property which has good potential as a guest-house. There are three large reception rooms, bedrooms on two floors and good en suite facilities.
