Menolly Homes is launching new three-bedroom townhouses this week at Riverbank, in Drogheda. The Ross McParland agency is the selling agents for the development.
Drogheda is a popular commuter town. Rising property prices in Dublin coupled with improved transport infrastructure allows buyers look further afield to neighbouring counties, where there is frequently much better value available.
Riverbank is a mixed development that includes large four-bed semis and detached homes on the outskirts of Drogheda.
The scheme is called Riverbank for the simple reason that it overlooks the River Boyne and its location in a lovely valley setting is one of the strongest selling points.
Good value prices, a trademark of Menolly Homes, is another selling point of the scheme.
Launched this time last year, there are presently 125 houses at Riverbank, and just 40 of these three-bed townhouses are being built.
The next phase of development will include three-bedroom duplex units and two-bedroom garden apartments, details of which will be announced shortly.
Prices for the 1,000 sq ft townhouses are from £120,950 (€153,574). Completion dates are from the end of September onwards.
All houses include a standard range of features including fitted kitchen units, generous electrical specification, fitted wardrobes and tongue and groove flooring to first floor area.
Drogheda benefits from a daily commuter train service that has passengers into Dublin city centre within an hour.
The journey by road has also been considerably cut since the opening of the Balbriggan by-pass.
