The four-and-a-half acre site is within Delgany Wood, a large development of 250 upmarket homes between Greystones and Delgany.

Churchfields look across the trees to the church spire in Delgany village which is a short walk away.

The Greystones Southern Access Route/Delgany bypass, with its Southern Cross link opening soon, is another plus for this location. Both home styles have half red brick fronts, recessed and canopied front doors and square bay front windows with cut-granite sills.

Inside, the old feel is continued in the sliding sash windows featuring ornate tongue and groove panelling and architraves. Kitchens and bathrooms in both homes have a high specification, with bathrooms particularly impressive at this price range.

The three-bed house, priced €690,000, has a small hall. The livingroom has a large square bay window and gas fire set into the wall, positioned at an angle to the room. Its siting allows the double doors between the living and the diningroom to fold back completely into a recessed space giving an open area if desired.

The open-plan continues with the diningroom an integral part of the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with Siemens integrated fridge/freezer, washing machine, cooker and hob extractor with contemporary glass hood.

There is a central island which serves as a small breakfast bar. Underneath, three large bin holding spaces acknowledge our new green recycling credentials.

The ground floor wc is wheelchair-friendly, and is completely tiled in shades of cream and taupe with two huge wall mirrors.

Two of the three bedrooms upstairs are a good size. The en suite shower room in the main bedroom is extremely well fitted out, while the family bathroom has bath and shower, with heated towel rail, marble topped vanity unit and recessed mirror as standard.

In the two-bed showhouse, priced €550,000, you walk straight into the livingroom. The kitchen has an extra piece of equipment - a microwave - as standard, and the main bedroom in this house has two front-facing windows and very large fitted wardrobes. Both of the double bedrooms have handsome en suite bathrooms.

Gardens are landscaped, with seeded lawns back and front, fringed with flowers. Front drives are cobble lock with fenced rear gardens.
