There must be some rumblings going on in the hallowed and John Ronan have been put to the pin of their collar to keep tabs on all their interests ranging from an investment portfolio worth over £300 million to a development programme that will have a completed value of £3.6 billion. The two largest projects on hand are Spencer Dock, which will have an end value of £1.2 billion, and Central Park in Leopardstown which will have a book value of around £400 million. Even before they tackle those developments, the two boys have also got involved in a number of wind energy projects.

KPMG has been retained by the company to set up a management structure and, according to Mr Barrett, they will be "offering the best package in the market to get the top people".

First to be hired will be a chief executive and below this, a director of property who will be responsible for the "strategic policy." They are also hiring senior project managers, chartered surveyors and a head of purchasing.
