Buying in Italy:Apartments in two developments in Tuscany, one close to the sea, the other in the hills, are being sold from plans through agent Lisney costing from €395,000.
One development - the Castle of Campiglia - is in a converted castle 10 minutes' from the sea on the Tuscan coast in Alta Maremma, the other - Borgo di Verardinga - in a converted 19th century farmhouse.
There are six apartments for sale from plans in Campiglia, ranging from studios to a large penthouse, costing from €395,000 to €980,000. Each will have either a loggia or private garden and access to a park and indoor pool. The development is being converted in sympathy with the original building.
In the other development, Borgo Di Verardinga, which is in the hills between Florence and Pisa near the town of Montelopio, four two-bedroom apartments costing from €490,000 to €530,000 and a single three-bed €630,000 villa are being built in a converted 19th century farmhouse. There will be a swimming pool in the development, which is about 30 mintues' from Pisa and 50 minutes' from the coast.
