US-BASED computer manufacturer Dallas Semi Conductor Corporation is believed to be paying a rent of about £375,000 for its new plant in Drogheda where it will employ 475 people. The 120,000-square-foot building is owned by the IDA and was previously occupied by Brother. Paul McNeive of Hamilton Osborne King handled the letting.

Meanwhile, Kellihers Electrical, the Tralee wholesalers and agri-supply company, has paid £350,000 for a two-acre site at the M50 Business Park in Ballymount, Dublin, where it plans to build a new headquarters.
