Vibel (the name comes from la vie belle) is a range of children's furniture designed over 20 years ago by a French architect who couldn't find bedroom furniture for his own children. The solid, well-designed pieces that build up into an entire suite appeal to children as well as their parents, and take into account the fact that they will grow up. Even in small bedrooms, Vibel's designers know exactly what children get up to in their rooms from sleeping, having sleepovers, studying, playing and storing toys and clothes. This starter bed has been adapted for a teenager to include a study area, shelves and hanging clothes. The bed can be set at different levels, with new storage and play area configurations, as your child grows. Armed with room dimensions and information on a child, designers produce a colour, 3D drawing on computer so you have some idea of what you're getting. The price for everything you see in the picture is £2,485 - including delivery and installation.
