An extensively refurbished Victorian office building in Belfast is being offered for sale with a guideline price understood to be approximately £2.45 million sterling. The Head Line building in Victoria Street is being offered with vacant possession from September. It had been part let on a short lease to the Japanese computer giant, Fujitsu at a rental level understood to have been around £14 per sq ft, one of the highest rentals achieved in the North.

Agents Lambert Smith Hampton are selling the building on behalf of developers who were also responsible for the Jervis Centre in Dublin. The group has been involved in a large amount of office, apartment and industrial development in Belfast over the past five years. The Head Line building was originally developed for the Scottish Amicable in 1863 and then held for years by G Heyn & Sons which ran the Head Line shipping company. It was totally refurbished in 1998 with the provision of some of the highest spec office space in Belfast. Architectural features include a glazed dome over the atrium.
