In Monkstown, Co Dublin, Hamilton Osborne King withdrew 8 Trafalgar Terrace from auction at £780,000 and sold it later for a higher price. The Victorian two-storey over basement terraced house has three elegant reception rooms, four bedrooms, and potential for a self-contained apartment at basement level.

Elsewhere in south Dublin, a detached four-bedroom house on 0.25 acres, The Phoenix, at 1 Claremont Pines, Carrickmines, Dublin 18, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £530,000.

In Stillorgan number 24 Oaktree Road, a three-bedroom semi-detached house, was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £199,000.

In Sandymount, a three-bedroom semi-detached house at 43 Claremont Road, was sold at auction for £363,000 by Bennetts.

In Ringsend, a refurbished end-of-terrace two-bedroom house at 2A Penrose Street, Dublin 4, fetched £169,000 at a Sherry FitzGerald auction. A three-bedroom mews house at 8 Swan Place, off Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald which sold it later for over £270,000.

Dublin 6 and 8

Off Appian Way in Dublin 6, Gunne secured £410,000 at auction for 20 Leeson Park Avenue, a refurbished Victorian three-bedroom terraced townhouse.

In Ranelagh, 34 Rugby Road, a terraced house in need of modernisation, was sold after auction for a price believed to be over £140,000 by Hamilton Osborne King.

A semi-detached five-bedroom house Glenart, at 17 Mountainview Road, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald which is quoting £475,000.

Elsewhere in Ranelagh, The Bungalow, at 8a Woodstock Gardens, a one/two-bedroom mews house was withdrawn by Hamilton Osborne King, which is quoting £180,000.

DeVere White & Smyth fetched £230,000 at auction yesterday for 19 Gullistan Terrace, off Mount Pleasant Avenue, Dublin 6, a two-bedroom terraced house.

In Dublin 8, a four-bedroom terraced house at 19 Victoria Street, Portobello, was sold at auction for £267,000 through Ross McParland.

Dublin 14 and 16

Lisney secured a strong price of £585,000 at auction for 10 Princeton, Ardilea, Dublin 14, a 2,600 sq ft three-bedroom detached bungalow.

In Churchtown, Dublin 14, a three-bedroom mid-terrace house at 24 Lr Churchtown Road, was sold at auction for £250,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

North Dublin

A refurbished end-of-terrace four-bedroom house at 8 Iona Road, Glasnevin, Dublin 9, was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £315,000.

Also in Glasnevin, Dublin 9, 41 Botanic Avenue, a four-bedroom redbrick period house in need of modernisation was sold at a Ross McParland auction for £170,000.

Sherry FitzGerald fetched £240,000 at auction for a four/ five-bedroom mid-terraced period house at 4 Dalymount, Phibsboro, Dublin 7.

A 1,100 sq ft detached cottage on 0.25 acres at Nevinstown Lane, was withdrawn by Shane Redmond which is quoting £160,000.

Provincial

In north Co Dublin, 37 acres of agricultural land was auctioned in four lots through joint agents Hamilton Osborne King and Counihan & Co. Lot 1: Two acres, sold for £58,000. Lot 2: 3.08 acres sold prior to auction. Lot 3: four acres sold for £98,500. Lot 4: 27.403 acres was withdrawn at £195,000.

In Limerick, a three-bedroom house at Ballinacurra was withdrawn at £170,000 by Rooney.

Commercial

Gunne achieved £2.35 million at auction for a 0.65-acre residential/commercial development site at Castle Street, Dalkey, Co Dublin.

In Dublin 2, Dargan House, at 21/23 Fenian Street, a three-storey modern office building, was sold at a Lisney auction for £1.76 million.

The Malt House public house at 27/28 James Street, Dublin 8, was withdrawn by Morrisseys.

A 8,53-sq-t retail investment property at 14 Lr Dargle Road, Bray, was sold at auction for £675,000 through Gabriel Dooley.

A retail investment property, The Roundabout Shopping Parade, at 333/337 Lr Ballyfermot Road/Le Fanu Road in Dublin 10, was withdrawn and is under negotiation through Lisney.

A stone-built mill on four acres, Lodge Mills at Bagenalstown, Co Carlow, was sold at auction for £410,000 through Lisney.

A residential public house, The Dugout, at Ballyhale, Co Kilkenny, was withdrawn at £210,000 and is under negotiation through Gunne.

In Co Galway, An Tobar Ceol public house at Dunlo Street, Ballinasloe, was withdrawn at £320,000 and is under negotiation through Gunne.
