Stepaside: from €625,000Three large penthouses in the foothills of the Dublin mountains are for sale in the final phase of a development off the Enniskerry Road. Kate McMorrow reports
Fresh air and bird's eye views of the city can be had from three large penthouses new to the market at Wingfield, a Liberty Homes development off Enniskerry Road, Stepaside, Co Dublin.
Sherry FitzGerald New Homes is taking bookings from today and viewing is this Saturday and Sunday from noon.
This is the final phase at Wingfield and a few two-bedroom apartments are also for sale, priced from €355,000 for 79-88 sq m (850 - 950 sq ft) of accommodation.
Prices for the penthouses range from €625,000 to €690,000 for 144.2-162.3 sq m (1,550-1,740 sq ft) of living space, encompassing two large bedrooms, two reception rooms and a top quality fit-out.
Wood and carpeted floors are part of the deal and German-made kitchens come with a full range of Neff and Siemens appliances. Bathrooms include downlighters, sleek modern sanitary ware, mosaic tiling and fitted mirrors.
While in the foothills of the Dublin mountains, Wingfield's location is excellent for commuters, with the Luas and M50 down the road at Sandyford. Dundrum's new shopping centre is due to open soon, a factor that will further enhance the Stepaside area.
Construction is well under way on a 10-screen cinema, theatre, department stores, boutiques and restaurants.
Residents have the use of a very smart roof garden, extending to about 390 sq m (4,200 sq ft) and incorporating raised flower beds and seating.
Green areas surrounding the apartment blocks are landscaped in a style intended to blend in with the architecture. Stepaside village has undergone a transformation in recent years with expanding urban development.
Previous schemes by Liberty Homes include Clarion Quay and Gallery Quay in Dublin's docklands and Cairnfort, which is adjacent to Wingfield in Stepaside.
The Wingfield apartments and penthouses are completed and buyers can move in as soon as the paperwork is done.
