Massive Bovale plan approved: Bovale Developments has been granted permission for a massive scheme of 1,040 residential units in Finglas, Dublin 11.
The 16-hectare site north of Poppintree Industrial Estate in Ballymun and bounded by St Margaret's Road and Jamestown Road in Finglas will be the subject of a seven-year planning permission for a mix of 349 houses, 293 duplexes and 398 apartments in buildings of three-to-five storeys. There will also be 1,344 car-parking spaces, over 330 of which will be basement parking.
Bovale will also build a 593 sq m (6,383 sq ft) local shopping centre, health community facilities and vehicular access to St Margaret's Road and Jamestown Road. There will also be a road connecting St Margaret's Road and Balbutcher Lane. Ballymun Regeneration and Dublin City Council has control over a small area at the south-east of the 40-acre site, where it is believed houses will be built fronting Balbutcher Lane.
Residential scheme of 610 units planned for Rathfarnham
In Rathfarnham Maplewood Developments is looking for planning permission to build 610 residential units, a 420 sq m (4,521 sq ft) crèche, a 1,165 sq m (12,540 sq ft) gym/swimming pool and a 1,282 sq m (13,800 sq ft) public house / restaurant on a 24-acre site at Ballyboden, Dublin 16 and bounded by Stocking Lane. It will be a mix of 15 detached houses, 27 townhouses, and 568 apartments. John Barrett, Michael Whelan and Bridie Whelan are directors of Maplewood Developments, a St Moritz construction company.
New plans for D3 and D6
Two planning applications for housing schemes are about to be lodged to Dublin City Council. The Esmond Partnership is looking to build a mixed development of 164 apartments and offices at 2-8 Richmond Ave, D3. It proposes to demolish the showrooms, offices and storage building at 2-7 Richmond Ave and renovate 8 Richmond Ave. It is also looking to providing parking for 168 cars.
McGarrell O'Reilly is looking to build 92 apartments at Scully's Field between Ramleh Park and the Dodder river and bounded by Strand Terrace in Milltown, Dublin 6 to the west. It is also looking to build a new public open space and pedestrian bridge over the Dodder.
