Large residential scheme in Cabinteely rejected on appeal: Treasury Holdings has been refused permission for a residential development off the Brennanstown Road in Cabinteely, Dublin 18.
Last year, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council refused permission for the 173-unit scheme site, which is located on an eight-acre site between Foxrock and Cabinteely.
An appeal by Treasury to An Bord Pleanála to overturn the council's decision has now been turned down as well.
Agreeing with the local authority, the planning board said the scheme would be premature pending the adoption of a local area plan for the area.
Treasury was seeking to demolish Knockanree House to the west of the site and build 107 apartments and 12 duplexes units in three blocks with a maximum height of eight storeys.
Mixed-use scheme planned for pub and factory site in D7
An apartment scheme at the former Edmundstown Electrical factory and H Mathews pub in Dublin 7 is on the cards.
Apex Estates Ltd is looking to build a three-block apartment scheme at the site on Benburb Street, Hendrick Lane and Hendrick Street.
The maximum height for the scheme will be six storeys, if it gets the go-ahead from planners at Dublin City Council. The developer is planning to provide 89 car-parking spaces in the scheme, as well as a gym and library/cinema area.
Paul Newman submits new plan for €13m Kildare house
Developer and estate agent Paul Newman has submitted new plans for the refurbishment of his Ballintaggart House and Stud in Colbinstown, Co Kildare, which he bought for over €13 million last year.
Planners at Kildare County Council deemed a previous blueprint for the redevelopment of the 18th century Gothic revival property on 165 acres as "incomplete".
New plans due to be submitted to the local authority detail how Newman is planning to extensively remodel the nine-bedroom house adding an extra bedroom and making them all en suite. He is also proposing to build a large split-level hallway.
A steward's house will be turned into a three-bedroom house. Meanwhile, a barn is to be transformed into a storage facility for Newman's classic car collection. A large clock tower will be built in the courtyard and tennis courts are to be turned back into a walled garden.
