Mixed scheme in D15 appealed
AN BORD Pleanála has granted Castlethorn Construction planning permission for a mixed-use development at Ashtown, Dublin 15.
The scheme, which comprises 209 residential units, three shops, offices and a creche, was designed by MacCauley Daye O'Connell architects as an extension of the new village.
The development will include a 12-storey apartment building with south-facing winter gardens and moveable cedar screens and courtyard gardens.
Three parties appealed the scheme to An Bord Pleanála, including Navan Road Community Council and Kinvara Residents Association.
Among the concerns was that River Road and the area around Ashtown Station are already congested with traffic.
