THE Royal College of Surgeons has secured planning permission to develop a multi-storey cark-park to accommodate 525 cars at the rear of the college. Besides facilitating staff and students, the car-park will provide extra revenue for the college by linking in to the top five levels of the car-park at the St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre.

The development by the college will also include residential accommodation to include 30 bed spaces, retail space and office accommodation. There will be a pedestrian bridge from the car-park to the college.

The adjoining shopping centre already has 550 car-parking spaces available to it.
