Visitors and business people coming to Dublin this summer expecting to stay in the capital's new luxury five-star hotel, The Westin Dublin, will be disappointed to hear that it will not now open until September.
Dubliners looking forward to the addition of a quality watering hole on the site by the summer will also have to wait.
The 168-bed hotel - in a premier location at College and Westmoreland Streets - has been beset by problems which have included getting sub-contractors to complete work on time. Part of the problem also lies with the complexity of the site.
Westin Hotels, an international group, is reluctant to open the hotel until the highly serviced building meets their exacting standards.
The Westin website, which can be found at www.westin.com, is taking bookings from September 1st.
