A SITE for a four-star hotel planned for a prime position in Wexford town has been placed on the market for sale by tender. The seven-acre site has received full planning permission and will be developed by Ellen Construction Ltd. Situated where the N11 and the N25 converge, the hotel is expected to capitalise on the heavy volume of traffic using the Rosslare International Ferry Port as well as increasing local and regional tourism. Permission has been granted for a hotel with 103 bedrooms, function room, bar, restaurant, leisure centre and parking for 172 cars. The closing date for receipt of tenders is Monday 16th October.
