25th Killalane Road RacesTHE 2009 Country Crest Killalane Road Races kick off on September 12th and 13th. This year celebrates 25 years of the races and to mark the event, the club is inviting riders who raced in 1984 to do a parade lap.
Famous names taking to the circuit include Ryan Farquhar, Adrian Archibald, Michael, Samuel and William Dunlop and Derek Costello.
The Martin Finnegan Supporters Club will also be exhibiting the Lusk racer’s bikes and memorabilia.
And with an impressive total prize fund of €21,500, this year’s meeting promises to be an exciting one.
New Moto Morini 2010 streetbike
ACCORDING TO Italian motorcycle magazine Motociclism, there’s a brand new 1,200cc Moto Morini Uber-motard streetbike in the pipeline for 2010.
The new bike is half enduro and half motard and has been completely restyled with a newly tapered rear end, slit-end high-level exhausts and an off-centre rear shock.
New version of adventure bike
MEANWHILE, MCN (motorcyclenews.com) has reported on its website that Moto Morini is building a road-based version of the Granpasso adventure bike.
According to MCN, the chassis on the new machine is almost identical to the adventure bike and equipped with thick, high-spec road forks and 17-inch cast wheels with sportsbike tyres.
