BMW superbike to hit Dublin

BMW’s eagerly-awaited new superbike will be launched at Joe Duffy Motorrad on December 5th.

The 193bhp S1000RR road version is set to feature four-stage ABS and race-derived traction control.

The bike was used for the first time as the Moto GP marshal’s bike at the Jerez GP and the finished S1000RR road bike was debuted to the public at the World Superbike round at Monza in Italy.

Riders get set for Skerries 100

The Aon Bikecare Skerries 100 Road Race will be launched tomorrow evening.

Organised by the Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club, the north County Dublin road racing festival takes place from July 2nd to July 4th, kicking off with the Classic Run on Thursday, July 2nd.

Race practice takes place on Friday July 3rd, with a day of racing for €25,000 in prizes on Saturday, July 4th.

Rumours over naked Nefertiti

Rumours are rife that French motorcycle manufacturer Voxan is planning a new naked bike called the Nefertiti.

Visordown.com says “the latest Voxan will feature the company’s ubiquitous 1000cc V-twin engine, along with a new-look dual-stacked headlight arrangement. Power and weight figures have yet to be confirmed.” Voxan say the Nefertiti won’t go into full production until the financial crisis is over.
