Maria Costello awarded MBE

FEARLESS ROAD racer Maria Costello has been honoured with an MBE for her services to motorcycling.

The 31-year-old rider held the title of female lap record holder for the Isle of Man TT, an achievement that earned her a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

But this year Jenny Timmouth smashed the record with 116.835mph.

Reception for charity trekkers

JOE DUFFY Motorrad will host a reception on June 30th for Durban-Dublin bikers Roger Scheffer, Derick Oldfield and Howard Scott.

Scheffer, Oldfield and Scott took to the roads on their R 1200 GS Adventure BMWs in May. They travelled through Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, the UK and Dublin in aid of the Pebbles Project, a charity to support children with special needs.
