Looking for a new car but haven't got the time or the inclination to tour the forecourts?

Then the Internet may be the answer for you. Previously used more as a research tool rather than a purchasing option, a growing number of Irish car buyers are turning to the web to make their purchases.

As one online car dealership in Ireland explains: "It makes the whole process of car buying a more enjoyable experience," According to Internet Car Company managing director Fabio Fusco: "We offer a quick and easy way to search for and purchase your new vehicle via the Internet or phone.

"You can browse and buy from the comfort of your own home or office and as we are open six days a week and 24 hours a day online you can do so at whatever time is convenient for you. You get a bigger choice and lower prices with no wasted weekends trekking around local dealerships with smooth talking salesmen."

The Internet Car Company (www.InternetCarCompany.ie) claims to be Ireland's most visited car dealership website with several hundred sales to its credit since its launch a year ago. Fusco says it offers a new approach to car retailing with the emphasis on taking the pain away and making the buying experience as enjoyable as possible.

It offers customers the same wide choice of brands available from franchised dealers with the same peace of mind. Over 2,500 different combinations of makes and models of cars are on offer.

"Once you've found the car you want, just phone the company or submit your enquiry by email," he explains.

"After that a salesperson contacts the buyer to guide them through the ordering process helping to choose any manufacturers options and accessories."

Buyers can also arrange finance and get a part exchange price. Finally you pay a deposit of €1,000 and arrange how you want to receive the car.

You can either collect the vehicle from the supplying dealer, or the company can deliver the car to you either by transporter at a cost of €300, or drive it to you for €195.

The company has just opened its first car sales centre near the Blanchardstown exit of the M50. "It will be instrumental in helping us bring our retail vision of clicks and mortar to reality with other centres planned over the next three years," adds Fusco.
