In an article on October 17th, 2012, entitled “Time to pull the plug on electric cars?” a panel box stated that the 192 electric cars registered at the time of the article could save the country the emission of 230,400 tonnes of CO2.
It should have read 230.4 tonnes.
This would mean the final saving based on carbon costs given in the article would be €8,524 per year, substantially less than was listed in the article.
