This is Ford's new crossover vehicle, the Kuga, aimed at stealing the sales from the likes of the Nissan Qashqai. Based on the Ford Focus platform, it will debut next week at the Frankfurt motor show.
Produced in Germany, it will be sold with either front-wheel-drive or an "intelligent" four-wheel-drive system that sends power to the four wheels when extra grip is required.
The engine range will be similar to that in the current Focus range. Optional features will include a panoramic glass roof.
The new Ford Kuga will go on sale in Ireland during the first half of 2008.
