In an attempt to appease some traditional owners BMW is modifying its flagship 7-series. A facelifted version is due later next year.
The current 7-series is the work of BMW design chief Chris Bangle who has created some truly eye-catching models, including the new Z4.
Although modifications to the 7-series are minor, the Munich-based marque hopes they will placate potential customers and dealers worldwide who disliked the front and rear-end design.
Another target for criticism has been the iDrive system which can be used to operate the radio/TV, Sat-Nav, telephone and air-conditioning among other thins. The system has already been reworked - and simplified - for the new 5-series.
The facelifted 7-series will have a softer look. The most visible changes will be the new headlights and wider, more curved trademark twin-kidney grille. There will also be new bumpers front and rear.
