Ducati shows off Hypermotard

Ducati have unveiled photos of their new smaller Hypermotard motorcycle, which will go on sale in 2010.

The Hypermotard’s 796 engine produces 81 horse power and 55.7 pounds of torque. It weighs in at a lightweight 167kg and has a lower seat height than the 1100.

It is also “equipped with an APTC ‘wet’ clutch to give a ‘slipper’ type action that prevents destabilisation of the rear-end during downshifting”, according to Ducati. And it has redesigned top and bottom fork clamps.

This new bike will be available in a dark finish with matte black tank and beak section, black frame and black wheels or, alternatively, matte white tank with contrasting matte black beak, black frame and black wheels.

Watch out for this new motorcycle, which will be on display at the International EICMA show in Milan in November.
