HAYABUSA LIMITED EDITION:Suzuki motorcycles has launched a very special limited edition, iridescent and beautifully shimmering GSX1300R Hayabusa. It features the dazzling "pearl glass white" colour scheme that was previously only available in the American market.
"With only 120 of these models available, and retailing with the same recommended price of the standard model at £8,649 (around €12,750) this bike is expected to sell fast," says Suzuki GB's marketing manager, Paul de Lusignan.
Suzuki launched the Hyabusa on to the market in 1999. The bike was aptly named Hyabusa because it is the Japanese term for a peregrine falcon, a bird known for its high speed. This motorcycle can reach a top speed of 183.9mph.
The 1299cc, four-stroke, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve engine provides lightening fast performance. "The digital electronic fuel injection provides crisp, instantaneous throttle response with a unique version of Suzuki Ram Air DirectTM (SRAD) induction," claims Suzuki. "The state-of-the art rear suspension system offers precise responsiveness in tight corners and solid performance in sweeping turns," says Suzuki.

DOORSTEP QUESTIONS:
MAG Ireland (Motorcycle Action Group) has reissued its Bikers Are Voters questionnaire. Bikers Are Voters is a long-running campaign that MAG Ireland produce at election times to raise much-needed awareness about motorcyclists.
"This is a leaflet designed for individual use for when the election candidate calls to the door," according to MAG's Linda Ó Loideoin. "In the past we have had a good response from politicians and at the very least it makes them aware that bikers are not some sub-group who don't think," she adds. If you'd like to raise these bike issues with your local candidates, then you can download the leaflet from www.magireland.org.
