STREET MACHINE The long-awaited and highly anticipated 2008 Triumph Street Triple 657 has finally been announced

STREET MACHINEThe long-awaited and highly anticipated 2008 Triumph Street Triple 657 has finally been announced. The new fuel-injected machine is a cross between Triumph's Daytona 675 and the Speed Triple 1050 with a stylish S3 under-seat exhaust and double round headlights. "It's a bike that riders in France and Italy have asked for since the big Speed Triple is so popular there," according to Triumph's product manager Simon Warburton.

This motorcycle will take on rivals such as Honda's Hornet and Kawasaki's Z750. Retailing at around €8,100 (£5,500), this should become a popular choice. The new Triumph is set to reach international dealers by August. You can keep an eye on the new Street Triple by visiting triumphstreettriple.com for more information.

Only 48 people bought BMW machines and 17 decided to opt for the classic middle-aged biker's choice, the Harley Davidson.
