NEW KAWASAKI NINJAKawasaki has tempted bikers by revealing photos of the new 2008 Ninja ZX-10R. The most noticeable differences to this new beauty are a change in the fuel injection with two injectors per cylinder and a change in the size of the front disc brake, which is 10mm bigger.

According to the makers, with this new four-stroke, liquid-cooled 998cc machine, "engineers aimed for an ideal superbike with engine and chassis performance capable of satisfying professional racers, combined with top-notch street bike qualities for mainstream riders." The new bike has a compression ratio of 12:7:1 and fuel injected DFI with 43mm Keihin throttle bodies with oval sub-throttles and two injectors per cylinder.

SMALLEST SUZUKI OFF ROADERMeanwhile, Suzuki has launched its smallest four-stroke off-road bike. The DR-Z70 junior bike is ideal for first time, off road, mucky fun. "With novice-friendly three-speed automatic transmission in a lightweight, easy to manoeuvre chassis.The new 70 will have a suggested retail price of £995, around €1,500, and will be available from any authorised off-road Suzuki dealers in Northern Ireland," according to Suzuki's Luke Plummer.
