Price: €75 Buy: Apple Store and major electrical retailers

The last iPod Shuffle was tiny. Now there is a new one and you will most certainly have to keep it out of the way of small children or indeed irresponsible adults because they will almost certainly swallow it.

The new Shuffle is half the size of the old one and to put it in context it is smaller than one AA battery – remember, you had to put four of these in early Walkmans? Well despite being tiny it can hold 1,000 songs and will speak to you too.

The Shuffle will tell you the name of the artist playing and even how much battery life is left. The controls are on the earphones making it even easier to use than before too. Good luck not losing it though.

Speedo Aquabeat

Price: €89 Buy: pixmania.ie

Ever needed to listen to your music underwater?

Well apparently there are some people who do need to do this and for them, the Speedo Aquabeat is an answer to many prayers.

For those who spend hours doing laps of the pool keeping fit, being able to add music will be a real joy.

This MP3 player can float on water and works at up to 3 metres. It comes in black, pink and lime and with waterproof headphones as you might expect.

And with 1GB of memory, it can hold about 250 songs, enough to get through the toughest of swim sessions.

Kodak Zi6

Price: €116 (plus €12.66 delivery) Buy: dabs.ie

This neat little video camera shoots 720p HD video in something that is about the size of an iPod.

This is very easy to use and everything transfers to the computer or straight onto sites like YouTube using the flip out USB stick.

The drawback is that you need a large SD card but these are seriously cheap these days.
