Land Rover has been playing follow-the-leader at Germany's Nurburgring with its current Range Rover and the sleeker Range Sports model, due out next Spring.
But a closer look reveals that these two aren't racing. The priceless prototype at the rear is being towed.
It might seem as though engineers are having a few technical problems, but Land Rover claims the strength of the Range Sport's front towing hook was being tested.
Whatever the reason, it's clear the latest Land Rover will be considerably smaller and narrower.

Also, under the skin the new model is more closely related to the latest Discovery. Based on the firm's Range Stormer concept it uses a separate chassis construction rather than a monocoque.
