DUBLIN:

Tomorrow: all approaches to Stockman's Lane reduced to one lane, from 10pm to 6am on Friday morning, for core testing work.

From Saturday, September 30th, until October 1st Canal Quay will be closed to put up a crane. Southbound traffic will divert via Pearse St, Macken St and Grand Canal St Lower. Northbound traffic will divert via Grand Canal Lower, Macken St and Pearse St.

Until September 30th there will be works on Ballymun Rd inbound, with one lane of traffic open from Shangan Rd to Shanliss Rd. Major disruption expected. Signs will be erected to warn motorists. Only one lane of traffic will be open from Shangan Rd to Shanliss Way: major disruption expected.

WICKLOW:

Layout altered on N11 for works at St Valery's Bridge until October 16th. Following arrangement will operate until approx October 7th: two lanes will go south, one lane runs north, with another temporarily splitting on to the southbound carriageway where contraflow in place.

Works will affect traffic travelling to M50 from M11/N11 & also on R117 Enniskerry Rd so there is no access from R117 on to the N11.

MEATH:

Major roadworks for next six months on Navan Inner Relief Rd (From the 'Round O' to junction with N3 at the Fire station).

WESTMEATH:

On N62, major roadworks 1.6km north of Ballinahoun village until end of October.

GALWAY:

Until about mid-October, works are on N17 through Milltown, for laying of water-mains. Delays expected.

CARLOW:

Today until Saturday, September 30th, the 2006 World and National Ploughing Championships will take place at Grangeford, Tullow. There will be a limited number of one-way systems on minor roads leading to the site. These will not affect the main bulk of the traffic.They will be clearly signposted and manned by Garda personnel at all times.

Parking restrictions: parking on all roads adjacent to site and areas within it prohibited from 6am to 9pm daily.

Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced and unauthorised vehicles will be towed away. Detours: will be clearly signposted and manned by gardaí. People not attending the Ploughing event, use alternative routes.

KILKENNY:

On N9 at Thomastown recent diversions have been lifted: from now, Maudlin St, will operate a one-way system. Market St, Pipe St, Logan St, Low St and Ladywell St will also operate one-way.

CORK:

From Monday, October 2nd to Friday, October 13th the R619 - from Tullig Crossroads to Luskin's Bridge East Cross (junction to Berrings) closed for works. Alternative routes: Crean's Crossroads - going south towards Coachford will divert via Regional Road R579 to Gallock's Cross, Cloghroe, along R622 to Cannon's Cross and along R618 via Dripsey to Coachford. Coachford - going north towards Donoughmore/ Mallow will divert via R618 via Dripsey to Cannon's Cross, along R622 to Gallock's Cross, Cloghroe and along the R579 to Crean's Crossroads.

Tomorrow Ballyvolane Rd closed from Ballyhooly Rd to North Ring Road from 7am to 6pm for resurfacing. On Friday it will close from 8am to 6pm.

Also tomorrow, Old Blackrock Rd one-way from Infirmary Road to Rockboro Rd and will also be closed at Victoria Ave.
