Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
Until Thursday, March 16th, Kilshane Rd/Newtown Link road closed from 8.30pm until 6am nightly, from Kilshane Cross to the Roundabout on St Margaret's bypass. Alternative routes via St Margaret's Rd/North Rd or Kilshane Rd/Northwest Business Park Distributor Rd/Ratoath Rd/ The Ward Rd. Closure is for road and drainage repairs.
Two roads in Malahide will close from 8am on Saturday March 25th, to 7pm Sunday March 26th. They are:
- Dublin Road/Malahide from a point south of its junction with Yellow Walls Road, to a point north of junction with Back Road
- Swords/Malahide Road from a point east of junction with Millview Road to junction with the Dublin Road. Alternative routes: traffic from Malahide to Dublin - via Church Road (R124), Back Road on to Dublin Road (R107), or via R132, ie Yellow Walls Road, Old Yellow Walls Road, Estuary Road, Swords/Malahide Road (R106), to R132 (old N1/Swords by-pass). Traffic from Dublin to Malahide - via Dublin Road (R107), Back Road, Church Road (R124), R132 (old N1/Swords By-Pass), Swords/Malahide Road (R106), Estuary Road, Old Yellow Walls Road, Yellow Walls Road, to Dublin Road (R106).
KILDARE:
Until April 13th, major roadworks under way between Sallins Railway Station & Millennium Park Roundabout. Exercise caution, expect delays.
LAOIS:
There is now a new road layout on the N8 between Durrow and Cullahill at Derreen.
This will be in place until further notice, and is to accommodate further roadworks.
CORK:
Until 9pm Monday March 13th, the L3647 at Ard na Bourkey is closed. Divert via Upper Aghada.
Until Friday road resurfacing works from 8pm - 2am each night on West Douglas Street from Daly's Corner north to John O'Sullivan's/South County Bar. Through traffic permitted, but restricted to single lane on stop/go basis. Alternative routes are recommended:
- Church Yard Lane
- Church Road
- Church Street
Until further notice Fr Mathew Street closed for drainage works and Hanover Street closed from South Main Street to Little Cross Street.
