Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN: From Sunday, July 9th, until Tuesday, July 18th, at noon, Ashtown Rd closed from junction with River Rd to junction with Martin Savage Park. Alternative routes: River Rd, Ratoath Rd, Nephin Rd, Navan Rd N3, and Dunsink Lane (part of).
From July 10th until November 17th, works on Jamestown Rd between St Margaret's Rd and Poppintree Park Lane west roundabout.
From Sunday, July 9th to Wednesday, July 12th, section of the Peamount Road closed from 10pm - 7am, from Nangor Road to Peamount Hospital Entrance, patching/resurfacing works. Alternative routes: Nangor Rd, Grangecastle Rd, Naas Rd (N7) southbound, Fitzmaurice Rd, College Lane, Lucan - Rathcoole Rd, Peamount Rd and vice versa.
From 4am July 8th, until 6pm July 9th, Forest Rd, Swords, closed from Rathingle/Boroimhe junction to Main St/Dublin Rd, for works between Ballintrane Wood and entrance to Highfield Estate. This is the first phase of works on the Lower Forest Road. From 10am, July 10th until midnight July 12th, Forest Rd, Swords, closed from Rathingle/Boroimhe junction to Main St/Dublin Rd, for works between Highfield Estate and Main St, Swords. This is second phase of works on Lower Forest Rd.
Until September 1st, Ballyedmonduff Rd closed for essential drainage and road reconstruction works. Alternative route via Enniskerry Rd and Ballybetagh Rd and vice versa.
Until Friday, July 14th, resurfacing works on Alma Rd in Monkstown between 10am and 4pm each day. Traffic management plan in operation. One-way traffic only from Monkstown Road to Seapoint Avenue. Alternative route from Seapoint Avenue to Monkstown Rd via Newtown Avenue / Temple Hill and Belgrave Square East.
MEATH: Until Monday, July 24th, R156 Dunboyne to Clonee Rd closed. Expect delays on N3 approaching junction.
KILKENNY: Until Friday, July 7th, from 8am to 6pm, road repairs on N9 south of Dungarvan. HGV restrictions signposted - delays likely.
SLIGO: Until tomorrow, bridge inspection works on Hughes Bridge.
LIMERICK: Until tomorrow road surfacing on Childers Road at Roxboro Roundabout and Kilmallock Roundabout, from 7pm until 7am. Traffic delays, avoid this area if possible. A stop/go system will be in operation.
CORK: Until Saturday, July 15th, Mallow Rd closed inbound at Fitz's Boreen for construction works. Expect delays.
Until Friday, September 1st, LP2982 Church Hill, Poulacurry South, Glanmire closed for laying of a watermain, foul sewer and storm sewer to service site - Cranford Woods. Alternative routes: via Castlejane Rd LP-2930, Barnavara Hill R615 and R639.
Until Monday, July 24th, L2225-0 from Ballynora Crossroads to entrance with Kingsland Housing Estate is closed, for water works.
Southbound traffic should go from Ballynora Crossroads along road numbers L-2223 and L-2224 to Jimmie's Crossroads, and along road number L-2225-17 to Kingsland Estate entrance and northbound traffic vice versa.
