Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
Until Monday, August 21st, Ballycullen Rd is closed. Alternative routes via Oldcourt Road and Avenue, and Killininny Road.
Until 4pm on Friday, August 25th, Kilshane Rd closed from junction with Bay Lane to North Rd at Kilshane Cross. Alternative route via North Rd (N2); Ward Rd; Rathoath Rd; North West Business Park Distributor Rd and Kilshane Rd.
Tomorrow the M50 Northbound On-Ramp will be one lane from 10pm to 6am for part of the M50 Upgrade Scheme, contract 1.
From August 21st to August 20th, 2007, Claddagh Rd, Claddagh Green East, Claddagh Green West and Blackditch Drive, Dublin 10, will close. All four roads will be closed in turn. Closed section of Claddagh Road between junctions with Claddagh Green East and Claddagh Green West. Closed section of Blackditch Drive between junctions with Blackditch Road and Claddagh Rd.
Until Saturday, September 9th, Murphystown Rd from Kilgobbin Rd junction to Leopardstown Road is closed. Alternative route via Kilgobbin Rd and Leopardstown Rd and visa versa.
New road layout on N7 outbound to the Red Cow roundabout both day and night from last Sunday until Friday, September 1st, for gas main diversion.
KILDARE:
Pipe laying from 60m east of Kells Rd Roundabout to Callan Rd Roundabout, for next six weeks - delays expected.
KILKENNY:
Until August 20th, Kilkenny Arts Festival is in Kilkenny city. Expect delays on N9, N10, N77 and N76.
LEITRIM:
Tomorrow the 46th annual Ballinamore Agricultural Show is in Costello's field Ardrum, 1km from Ardrum on main Carrick-on-Shannon Rd. Expect delays.
TIPPERARY:
Until August 19th N62 at Borrisbeg, Templemore closed for resurfacing.
KERRY:
From August 18th to 22nd, annual Rose of Tralee International Festival. Take N7 South from Dublin, the N21 or N69 from Limerick, the N22 from Cork, the N25 from Rosslare.
CORK:
Merchant's Quay closed eastbound from 6am to 6pm until Friday, August 26th, for work on the footpath.
From Monday, August 21st to Friday, September 1st, LP2489 Carrigaline Rd, Douglas, closed for resurfacing. Southbound traffic takes Rochestown Road (R613) to Clarke's Hill (LP2471) on to Garyduff (LP2472), to Maryborough Hill (LP2470), and left on Maryborough Hill for Hilltown and Shannonpark. Alternatively, via West Douglas and Donnybrook to Ballinrea Cross LP2464.
Northbound traffic at Shannon Park stay on N28 to Kinsale Road Roundabout. Use exit to Frankfield for Douglas. Alternatively on N28 take turn-off at Hilltown (LS6477) and on to Maryborough Hill LP2470.
Until Friday, August 25th, Glen Rd, Ballygarvan closed for resurfacing. Alternative routes: southbound - at Airport Roundabout take Airport Road (R600) to Bowen's Cross or Five Mile Junction to connect with Ballygarvan and Ballygarvan Road (R613). Northbound - LP2457 Ballygarvan village to Bowen's Cross to connect with Airport Road (R600). Alternatively go to Five Mile Junction to connect with Airport Road (R600).
