DUBLINFollowing roadworks and restrictions on the M1 between Whitehall & Coolock Interchange over the weekend of 27th & 28th April for ongoing Port Tunnel Works, a new layout will be fully in operation by Sun evening April 28th adjusting the current contra-flow system.

The back road between the Ashtown Gate and the Blackhorse Avenue Gate will be closed from April 29th to May 24th, due to roadworks.

The new Ballinteer Road overbridge will be opened to traffic on Saturday April 27th.

Dundrum Main Street By-Pass will be opened to traffic on Tuesday 7th May, with a permanent road closure at The Laurels.

Heineken Green Energy Festival

The 7th annual Heineken Green Energy Festival takes place in three stages, the first taking place over the May Bank Holiday Weekend in Dublin from Thursday 2nd to Monday 6th May.

Dublin Castle, the Olympia Theatre, The Ambassador, Temple Bar Music Centre and Whelans will be providing much of the entertainment in Dublin this year where you can catch some of the biggest international acts of 2002.

This festival event may see a larger volume of traffic on national routes heading into Dublin on Thursday and Friday, and out of Dublin on Monday - a reversal of the normal flow.

WICKLOW

The road layout has been adjusted on the N11 approaching Kilmacanogue. Motorists are being diverted onto the new section of the road. Drive with care.

Restrictions and partial closures will operate on Main Street, Bray over an eight week period from Monday April 29th.

MEATH

From Friday May 3rd to Monday the 6th marks the first Bank Holiday Weekend with the Enfield Relief Road open to traffic. Flowerhill, Navan, will remain closed from bridge to Ratholdren Road until June. Motorists are advised to stay on N3 Inner Relief Road.

Weekend closure of rail line from Connolly Station to Clontarf Road. Work on the €20 million project to replace the East Wall Road Bridge got underway over the Easter weekend. Works will continue over the May Bank Holiday.The line will be closed between Connolly and Clontarf Road from 01.10hrs on Saturday May 4thto 04.45hrs on Tuesday May 7th.

During the weekend closures a limited service will operate on Drogheda suburban routes and northside DART services, with bus connections between Clontarf Road and Tara Street. Connolly to Bray/Greystones will operate as normal.

The Belfast Enterprise will have a full service with bus transfers between Drogheda and Dublin.

WATERFORD

Having been closed for a number of weeks, The Tramore Road has reopened (as of Thursday April 25th) from the Cork Road to The Tramore Road Roundabout.
