DUBLIN:

Dublin City Council has implemented a new traffic management plan for the city centre. It includes changes in O'Connell St, North King Street and Pearse St areas, and the introduction of a new directional signage system.

O'Connell St area from Monday, August 26th 2002 , North Frederick St is one way for general traffic from Parnell Square to Dorset St.

General traffic on Blessington St can turn only left or right at Dorset St: there is no left or right turn from Dorset St to North Frederick St. Access to North Frederick St via a new right turn from Gardiner Row/Denmark St, and a new left turn from Parnell Sq North.

There will be no access to O'Connell St from Parnell Sq East except for buses, taxis,cycles and motorcycles.

The changes will be complemented by new traffic directional sign posting. Almost 500 new signs will be erected, relying on junction numbers and route numbers. Maps can be accessed at www.dublincity.ie

Weekend closure of rail line from Connolly Station to Clontarf Road: work on the €20 million project to replace the East Wall Road Bridge, the country's most struck bridge, got underway over the Easter weekend.

The replacement of the bridge, whose twin decks cross both East Wall Road and the River Tolka, will be completed by the end of September 2002.

LIMERICK:

Restrictions at Parkway Roundabout are in place from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m, Monday to Wednesday and 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m Thursday and Friday until approx September 3rd on the Parkway roundabout.

LONGFORD:

Major re-surfacing is underway on the N55 south of Edgeworthstown for about 2.5 km. Delays are expected.

MEATH:

Expect delays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. until Sept 6 in Dunboyne village as traffic lights are deactivated.
