Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: Upper Kilmacud Road in Dundrum closed for work on footbridge. Signposted diversion via Sydenham Road, Taney Road, Dundrum Road and Main Street. Local access maintained at all times.
Lane restrictions on Glenageary Road Upper and Sallynoggin Rd, for ESB works. Expect some delays.
Resurfacing on R108 (Longterm Carpark Rd) near Sillogue Golf Course behind the airport tomorrow - long delays are expected. Works between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until Wednesday September 22nd.
Jamestown Rd in Finglas closed from junction with Poppintree Park Lane West to junction with St Margarets Rd. Local access will be maintained at all times and diversions have been signposted.
WESTMEATH: Works on N6 about one km west of Kinnegad. Traffic one lane, temporary traffic lights. Expect delays particularly during peak times.
LAOIS: Works on N7 at the Business Park, Castletown Rd, Mountrath, each day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., to install a right turning lane. Traffic one lane, traffic lights in operation.
Road closures and traffic detours on N7/M7 at Ballydavis and The Heath in Portlaoise, for completion of works at Ballydavis interchange and south tie-in of the M7 Heath Mayfield motorway. Alternative routes in place and signposted.
KILKENNY: Works on N9 in Mullinavat Village. Traffic lights from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday, delays expected.
A section of (N10) Waterford - Kilkenny Rd closed one km north of Knocktopher, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. for major road surfacing. Traffic for Waterford should divert at Paulstown, use N9 route via Thomastown and at Kilkenny use R700 & N9 via Thomastown. Traffic from Waterford to Kilkenny and Dublin divert at Ballyhale via Thomastown N9.
SLIGO: Resurfacing on N15 south of Cliffoney and south of Grange. Take extreme caution. The works will be in place for at least another week.
GALWAY: Pipe laying on Barna to Galway Rd (R356), between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day, traffic is one lane.
MONAGHAN: Roadworks and one-way shuttle traffic system on N2 Carrickmacross bypass. Road affected between Ardee and Carrickmacross, three miles south of Carrickmacross, over a length of 260 metre. Delays possible.
WATERFORD: Michael St closed for roadworks. Local diversions will be in place. Delays are likely.
TIPPERARY: Essential road strengthening works on a four km stretch of N24 from Cahir bypass towards Bansha.
Roadworks three miles north of Cashel on N8. Southbound traffic diverted via Dualla. Northbound traffic not affected.
KERRY: Works on N72 at Rathmore village - delays expected.
Races in Listowel from Sunday September 19th until Saturday September 25th. The racecourse is five minutes from town centre off the Ballybunion Rd (R553) and the Limerick to Tralee Road (N69): expect delays.
CORK: Works on the N20 from Charleville to Limerick County Bounds. Traffic restrictions on this route until mid-October. Alternative route via Kilmallock.
