Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: Due to damage to steel decking of Saggart/Rathcoole Interchange on Naas Rd, 7.5 tonne weight and a 2.3 metres restriction on bridge on will remain in place until repairs carried out.
Stop/go system on N2, south of Kilshane Cross between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. approx for heavy plant crossing - flagmen in place.
Brides Glen Rd closed between Mulinstall Rd and Rathmichael Rd, for essential drainage works. Alternatvie route via Rathmichael Rd and Mullinastill Rd.
KILDARE: Roadworks at Johnstown Village and Kill Village, for N7 road widening & Interchange scheme.
Works in Naas on Dublin Rd, Fishery lane and at Maudlins Interchanges in connection with N7 road widening and Interchange Scheme.
WICKLOW: Crash barriers being installed on central median of Arklow Bypass on N11. Minor disruption as two lanes open in rush hour and most work will BE between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
MEATH:Works and temporary traffic lights north of Ashbourne on N2. 'Stop and go' system in the day, after 7 p.m. temporary lights overnight.
Race meetings at Fairyhouse racecourse on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday meeting between 12.30 and 3.30 p.m, on Sunday between 12.35 p.m. and & 3.35pm. Racecourse is between main N2 and N3, north- west of Dublin on Fairyhouse Rd - easily accessible via Westlink Motorway (M50) and Blanchardstown by-pass (N3) and Dublin/ Derry road N2. Expect extra traffic.
WESTMEATH: Works on Athlone Bypass - overtaking lane blocked for 2km from roundabout on Dublin side of Athlone, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Works on N6 in Moate, expect delays.
LOUTH: Dundalk-Ardee Rd (N52) closed for building Dundalk Western Bypass, 1.25 km southwest of junction with Kockbridge Rd southwest for a distance of 300m in townland of Carnanbregagh. Local access maintained. Heynestown Rd (CR165) in townlands of Gibstown and Killally also closed for 1km from junction with Old Ardee Rd and N1 Southern link Rd. Alternative route to Dundalk is N52, N1 Southern Link Rd to Carrolls Junction, Dublin Rd, Hill St, Dundalk.
LEITRIM: Waterworks on N16 between Glenfarne and Manorhamilton, for approximately 3500m. Allow extra time.
KILKENNY: Roadworks on the N9 on Waterford side of Mullinavat. Temporary traffic lights.
CARLOW: Works on N80, Carlow to Wexford Rd, approximately 3km north of Ballon, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. traffic single lane, temporary traffic lights.
TIPPERARY: Resurfacing on N7 Limerick/Dublin Rd through Toomevara. Delays expected, traffic lights in operation.
Roadworks on (R445) Limerick Rd from Nenagh between Careys Glass and Springfort Cross Junction. Traffic one lane, temporary traffic lights.
CORK: South Douglas Rd closed outbound between Curragh Rd and Capwell Rd until Saturday, from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. daily.
